The Artist and his Four Seasons

John Henry Twachtman was an American painter best known for his impressionist landscapes. Art historians consider Twachtman’s style to be among the most personal and experimental of his generation.
During his short lifetime he painted a great number of vibrant scenes and picturesque lanscape masterpieces. Today they can be found in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, the Cincinnati Art Museum, the National Gallery of Art in Washington D.C. and the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston.
